Thorgerdur Johanna og A:G (NO) munu spila saman í fyrsta skipti á Íslandi fimmtudaginn 7. janúar á Kaffibarnum. Gleðin hefst kl. 21:00 og mun innihalda djúpa hústónlist með dub-ívafi og grúvý tech-house töktum.

That´s a half decent attempt to describe this DJ within one set of brackets. Never afraid to take a chance on that oddball track that can make or break the moment on the dance floor, trying to live by the phrase “play what they need.”

With love for the analogue and often gritty sounds from the acid house era, those mini-micro-minimalism tracks with that outstanding groove, those big techno monsters that´ll make you dream of concrete pillars and Funktion One, and those melodic almost garage-like house tracks which could cure almost any clubber´s comedown, his sets can be both widespread and storytelling.

Releasing and DJing as A:G and as one half of Uno Mas, he´s been doing gigs from 1000+ events to the sweaty underground raves for 50 people, a few red lamps and a too big sound system.

Thorgerdur Jóhanna (Þorgerður Jóhanna), originally from Iceland, now Oslo-based. Falling in love with house/techno music in 2010 after frequent visits at Kaffibarinn, her interest has only grown. Starting playing vinyl at home late 2014, she’s already spinning records around Oslo as of July 2015, now followed by Kaffibarinn and GOYO events at Skuret and at Påfuglen. The energy filled with positiveness and grooves that make you feel the music are what she brings to the table. Her favourite records are bought in Berlin and her inspiration is simply the music.

She doesn’t like to define the music she plays, but everything from groovy house to almost melodic tech-house, techno and dub/minimal with great beats is what you can expect in her set.
