BLACKWATER MOJO w/Daníel Hjálmtýsson

Blackwater Mojo is a bare bones blues-rock duo from the heart of the Appalachian hill country, USA. Well known for high energy performances, driving rhythms, and distinct sonic, this duo has no trouble filling the room in a way one would expect from a band twice their size.

Featuring a powerful and dynamic lead vocalist (Erin Young) and a slide guitarist turned one man rhythm section (Seth Young), Blackwater Mojo seamlessly interweaves the raw emotion of the delta blues with the warmth and richness of an old time string band. Not to be confused with preservationists, their unapologetic approach to American roots music makes them sound at once vintage and modern.

Daníel Hjálmtýsson is a Reykjavik born singer/songwriter that has made a name for himself in recent years as one of the most exciting voices in the underground music scene in Reykjavik. Now working on his debut EP (still untitled) he will be performing some of his original material for the first time in a live setting along with covers with the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Mark Lanegan and Neil Young in the front seat. There´s always something in the goody bag too and emotions run high each night.
