Lip Sync competition!

For the first time in Reykjavík (as far as we know)…. a LIP SYNC Competition!!!

Where and when?
At Gaukurinn, October 19th, at 21:00. Entry and participation is free of charge.

How does it work?
You sign up in advance by e-mail and then practice in front of the mirror for a week 😉 Then you show up at Gaukurinn and bring all your friends for support, because the AUDIENCE decides who wins!
Our wonderful host, Darren Foreman, will introduce you to the stage and you do your performance. When you finish we measure the sound of the clap from the audience, which is your score in the competition (we have a gadget for that, hah).
When the performances are done we will probably have to get the audience to clap again for some of the performers if we have some close top scores.

What do I get if I win?
A case of liquid joy (Beer!) and endless honor!

ALSO: The ever-so-fabulous Queens from Drag-Súgur will perform for you at the end of the competition and show us how Lip Syncing is really done! 😉

FOR SIGNUPS: Send an e-mail to the address solveig@gamligaukurinn.is
Include:
– Your name and stagename (if you have one).
– Which song you want to perform. A youtube link would be great to make sure we have the right version.
– Something about yourself so the host can introduce you.
THERE ARE LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE! So please sign up as soon as possible.

Last but not least… costumes and dance routines are strongly incouraged! (but of course not necessary). See you there!
