FU KAISHA
The last time we left the monk he has watching the sun sinking into the sea. Presently, however, we find him in sordid circumstance. See, the monk had never taken MDMA before—it wasn’t the Buddhist way—and yet his unexplained affinity for marvelous acid techno and ravenous beats had lured him into clubs and other establishments of the night all around the world, where the throbbing of the music and the bubbling and squelching and bending of the synths disintegrated the monk’s self to an ecstatic degree every time. Now he found himself in such a place, in a gentle state of exquisite braindancing—defenses down—when a girl joyously danced up to him and excitedly stuffed a pill into the mouth of the poor monk. “I’m Sunshine”, the girl yelled over the floor shaking bass. “You look weird! Are you like a monk or something?” The monk was thunderstruck, unable to speak, partly because of the drugging and partly because he had never heard such a unique blend of acid carried out with such precision and character in a club setting. Sunshine continued, ignoring the monk’s silence, “I’ll take care of you. Besides, that’s Fu Kaisha playing, his music is perfect for open-minded monk-looking type people on drugs and beyond. Don’t fight it, feel it!”
