Sunnudjass – Phil Doyle kvartett

Bandaríski saxófónleikarinn Phil Doyle hefur komið víða við, en hann hefur t.d. Spilað á plötunni “Romances” með tónskáldinu Mariu Schneider, en hún var tilnefnd til grammyverðlauna. Einnig hefur hann leikið með hljómsveitinni K.C. and the Sunshine Band, auk þess að hafa spilað með ótal djassmönnum á borð við Dave Liebman, Vince Mendoza og James Moody,

Phil kemur hér fram með vini sínum Einari Scheving á trommum, sem er íslenskum djassunnendum vel kunnur. Þá munu þeir Eyþór Gunnarsson og Andri Ólafsson sjá um píanó- og bassaleik. Á efnisskránni verða mörg af uppáhaldslögum Phils, en óhætt er að lofa djassveislu.

The legendary saxophone player Phil Doyle will be playing Sunday Jazz here at Bryggjan Brugghus oth the 24th of september. Phil will be playing with Einar Scheving on drums, Eyþór Gunnnarsson on piano and Andri Ólafsson on bass. Phil will play some of his favorite songs so you should definitely be at this awesome jazz party.

Hungry concertgoers can have a taste of the delicious bar menu, as well as sampling some of the most exciting microbrews in the country. All in all, this event must count as an opportunity to sit down and enjoy some jazz after the weekend.
